AND THE ROUTE 66 ADVENTURE CONTINUES
The twists and turns of the Route 66 experience are an endless series of adventures that leave me exhausted at the end of the day, and make it hard to sleep as I eagerly await the dawn of a new day. Today isn’t an exception.
Om the schedule for today, an interview with Scott Miller of WGN in Chicago this evening, assistance in the planning of a Route 66 tour for Chinese journalists, confirming speakers for the Route 66 – Crossroads of the Past and Future conference, and a planning session for the Route 66 International Festival. I, however, am but a small part of what constitutes the Route 66 experience.

Congratulations Kevin and Nancy! |
Our friends, Kevin and Nancy, have infused a Route 66 icon in Tucumcari with a very tangible spirit of generosity, fun, and enthusiasm tinged with a sense of reverence. A manifestation of this is found in recent recognition from a TripAdvisor listing.
Meanwhile, our friends on the opposite side of the road, the Talley’s, have also transformed a vintage motel into a roadside treasure. Recognition of their accomplishment by TripAdvisor is but one more indicator that Tucumcari is an ideal place to experience what makes Route 66 unique.
As the schedule is rather full, this mornings post is a short one. Now, its time for breakfast with Marleen.
