As always, Jim will give us his folksy analysis of the importance of Route 66 to our community. This is not to be missed.
We are limited to only the first 40 attendees, and we usually get 60-75 people at Jim’s presentations, so please buy your tickets quickly before they are gone. Tickets are only $5 each and will be available at Diana’s Cellar Door downtown during the month of December or from Jim directly. Doors will open at 5:15 PM and the presentation will begin at 6 PM. Route 66 In The Southwest – in this special presentation author Jim Hinckley chronicles the origins of Route 66 and its colorful history in the southwest. It’s a story of camel caravans, pioneering motorists such as Edsel Ford, and the transformation of a highway signed with two sixes into an icon.
