About Jim

For years people told me that I seemed to have a talent for telling people where to go. And I was often told that I could talk about America’s amazing story for hours even if I was the only one in the room and still enjoy myself.

So, way back in 1990, with gentle encouragement from my dearest friend, my wife Judy, I put those talents to work. I began telling people where to go, encouraging road trips, and sharing America’s amazing story.

It started with a few mazine articles and features for the local paper. Then came an opportunity to write a couple of books. Two of these led to an interview with Jay Leno.

This was the foundation for the creation of Jim Hinckley’s America, a multifaceted platform for folks that are passionate about discovering the American story through road trips.
