Coffee and conversation with Jim, and with some fascinating folks, is served up every Sunday morning. Our live stream podcast on Podbean has been described as a virtual diner. It is where friends and friends yet made get together to share a laugh or an adventure. Inspiration for historic preservation, for building a sense of community, and for planning a bucket list road trip is shared every week.

And if you think it would hard for us to top 2025, wait until you see what is on the schedule for 2026. As a teaser the upcoming schedule includes a visit with an amazing teenager. This young man is passionate about road trips and Route 66.

Tom Saluzzo is also on the schedule. He is a man on a mission. This pawnshop manager and former pilot is focused on building a museum that focuses on the preservation of artifacts that are tangible links to their stories of men and women who served from WWII through the Vietnam War.

And then we will talk with a daring adventurer. She ran a naked 5K, rappelled down a 38-story building, explored the John Muir Trail in California, and the oceans surrounding Fiji.

Sharing America’s amazing, diverse and colorful story. Inspring road trips by sharing adventures. That is why we launched Coffee With Jim. The program in 2025 mirror our mission.

A great example of how we blend these passions is the March 9, 2025 program. Our guest was Ryan Thibeault, the owner of Tebo Barn LLC in Milton, New Hampshire. Ryan took his driving test in his grandfather’s 1929 Ford Model A Phaeton. In high school and college he repaired and restored antique cars. During these years his daily driver was often a 1930 Ford Model A Town Sedan.

In 2022 Ryan, decided to chase the dream. He walked away from the day job, and began transforming his hobby and passion into a business. Then, to inspire a new generation of vintage car owners, he began sharing epic adventures such as driving a 1929 Ford down Route 66 and across America. He covered 8,011 miles in 4 weeks! And to this he is now adding adventures in a Stanley steamer. 

Adventures of Another Kind

On a program in October we sat down with Joey Madia that is bringing the Cyrus Avery story to life for a Route 66 centennial road show, and a series of educational programs. Madia is a master at bringing historic personalities to life. His list of accomplishments is lengthy. Madia is a novelist, screenwriter, playwright, actor, historical educator, storyteller, and director. He has designed history based puzzles for escape rooms in North Carolina, Scotland, and the Mothman Museum in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

Life is full of adventures. Not all involve mountain climibing or epic road trips. On one of our most popular episodes in 2025, we talked with Richard Lentinello. At a time when most people are giving thought to retirement, he decided to apply skills learned in decades of work as a writer, magazine editor, and photographer, and launch a magazine!

You are assured a diverse array of discussions on Coffee With Jim. As an example, in a program with Tosha O’Neill from the Historic Electric Vehicle Foundation we learned about their plans for a musem. And we learned that the first pedestrian killed by an automobile in the US was struck by an electric taxi cab in 1899. Did you know that in 1916 a company manufactured a gasoline/electric hybrid?

This is going to be quite a year! It is the 250th anniversary of the United States. And it is also the Route 66 centennial. Both of these will provide ample opportunity for enjoying lively conversation over coffee.
