Join the adventure. Let’s build a community of passionate road trip enthusiasts.

Hello, friends!

Pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup of coffee, and let’s talk about something near and dear to my heart—community. Not just any community, but a growing, spirited, adventure-loving fellowship of folks who believe in the magic of the open road, the power of history, and the beauty of America’s story.

Welcome to Jim Hinckley’s America, where we’re “sharing America’s story and inspiring road trips by telling folks where to go.” And yes, we mean that in the kindest way possible!

We’re building something more than a media network—we’re building a movement. A multifaceted platform of kindred spirits who appreciate tail fins, neon signs, old road maps, two-lane blacktop, small-town diners and slow paced conversations. This is a community for history buffs, road warriors, and dreamers will take the time to share stories, and to listen to stroytellers.

Let me give you a quick tour of the Jim Hinckley’s America family and show you how you can be part of the shared adventure.

📚 Books, Presentations & Tours

I’ve written 22 books covering everything from ghost towns, the evolutionof the America auto industry, and forgotten highways to the fascinating tales of Route 66. I’ve had the privilege of speaking across the country and Europe about America’s history and how communities can use tourism as a spark for revitalization.

💡 Most recently, I’ve contributed to the Kingman Tours project, a dynamic initiative developed by Kingman Main Street and Talisman Magic Marketing. These narrated self-guided walking tours bring history to life on your phone or tablet—turning downtown Kingman into a living museum.
